Music Video Pitch Feedback:

My Pitch:

Audience Feedback:

Adin Otto (15 - 20yrs):
  1. What genre of music do you listen to the most?                                                                                  - Christian, Pop, and K- Pop
  2. What do you expect to see in a storytelling music video? (e.g. certain shots, Emotions, Or themes)? - I don't really expect anything specific. However, I would probably expect intentional symbolism as well as locations/ settings, and camera shots/ angles which support the theme/ message of the music video, like you have shown in your pitch.
  3. Do you watch music videos, If so, then why? - Yes, Because I either enjoy the story it tells or the visual imagery that is being that created. I also enjoy all the small details which work together to support the main idea, adding layers to the storytelling.
  4. How often do you watch / consume music video content? - I generally consume music videos in phases - some periods of time, I don't watch them all, and for other periods of time I will watch a few a week.
  5. What are your initial thoughts of my pitch, and what critiques? (if any) do you have on this idea?  - I rather enjoyed your pitch. You were very well spoken and clear in communicating your ideas. I also liked the fact that you had the slideshow going as you spoke, giving a visual aid to what you were talking about, as well as providing further detail.
  6. If you are a Taylor Swift fan, what would you expect out of one of her music videos, and what is your favorite one? - I wouldn't necessarily consider myself to be a fan. But I do enjoy her music on occasion. I would expect a music video following a specific concept which relates in some way to the music video, as well as one being embedded with meaning and small details. My favorite Taylor Swift music video would have to be style (because of the cool effects and editing) or Wildest Dreams.
Chiara Willocks (15 - 20yrs):
  1. What genre of music do you listen to the most?                                                                            Indie - Pop
  2. What do you expect to see in a storytelling music video? (e.g. certain shots, Emotions, Or themes)? - In a music video, I personally like to see some shots and scenes that are literal interpretations of the song and the story it is telling. However, I also like to see scenes that are more symbolic and metaphorical, so that it reflects the style of the writer / director, and their own interpretations of the song.
  3. Do you watch music videos, If so, then why? - Yes, Because the music video allows the viewers to visualize the lyrics of the song in a more impactful and meaningful way. As often, the videos create a new level of depth that viewers can explore.
  4. How often do you watch / consume music video content? - Whenever Taylor Swift directs, produces and releases a new one. In all seriousness, shes a very talented singer, artist director and writer, and the music videos really capture the essence of her songs in a very beautiful way.
  5. What are your initial thoughts of my pitch, and what critiques? (if any) do you have on this idea? - I thought your pitch was very well presented. It had a clear layout of everything and was easy to understand. My only critique or thoughts is maybe to expand a bit more on each point but otherwise it was very good.
  6. If you are a Taylor Swift fan, what would you expect out of one of her music videos, and what is your favorite one? - I am a contributor to the Taylor Swift appreciation community. In her music videos, I look for the dynamic. Not one of her music videos are the same. They're all unique and beautiful in their own way. Also, swift tends to add Easter eggs into a video that may indicate new music or an upcoming significant event. This is quite an enjoyable activity as it adds an element of mystery to her videos fully. My favorite videos are I Bet You Think About Me and All Too Well, 10-minute version: The short film.
Billie Look (15 - 20yrs):

  5. What are your initial thoughts of my pitch, and what critiques? (if any) do you have on this idea? - I think your idea is amazing! I love how you have symbolism and how you connect things with the title. I also like how it's a story and at the end everything comes together and ends with her moving on... It's smart that you are mixing up the shots and not having all the same shots together, I don't have any critiques. I think it's so good!
  6. If you are a Taylor Swift fan, what would you expect out of one of her music videos, and what is your favorite one? - I haven't watched any Taylor Swift music videos, but I imagine her having something filmed in the forest. But it depends on the song. So, I think your idea of being in a forest is great!

  2. What do you expect to see in a storytelling music video? (e.g. certain shots, Emotions, Or themes)? I'd probably expect to see a beginning, middle and end a period. Where we get introduced to the main character/ characters. Find out their problem and feel and sympathize with their pain and see them work through it to achieve a peace. The character could go through many emotions throughout the story, but would come to a positive happy feeling at the end fully.
